Today is an exciting day for mothers everywhere, as it is the launch of the brand new BabyHuddle US site! Having used the UK site in the past, I was most excited to find out that they were branching out to America. I was even more excited when I was given early access to have a play with the site before it even launched. It was like giving a kid the keys to the candy shop after hours!
So what IS BabyHuddle, I hear you ask? Think online shop + social networking + parenting forum, and you get a good idea.
Unlike most online retailers, BabyHuddle is as much an online resource as a place to buy stuff for your child.

The Shop:
When you first enter the site, you are given the option to register using various social network accounts. It is very simple, and with the click of a button, you can link up your facebook account to be connected. It makes the experience more of a social one, which is great when you want to register for baby items and easily share your wish list with your friends online!
The Lists:
As mentioned above, you can create personalised lists of items you want or need. Since I went a little overboard with my first baby, I knew that there were very few things that are completely NECESSARY for a new baby, and so I created myself a list with that in mind.
Of course, it’s impossible to stick to only what you need, so there are a couple of items that I just WANT to buy. But it’s my list, and I’ll add what I like!
You can even scour other people’s lists and discover what THEY are adding.
Questions:
I spoke about the forum aspect of the site, which is basically a place you can ask questions and get answers from other moms. Unlike regular online forums, I have found the mamas on this site to be very supportive and non-judgemental. And they can even suggest items from the shop that might help you with your problem! It’s a great way to network AND get recommendations for great new products!
Products:
The site has a plethora of amazing products for babies AND mamas – even when you’re expecting! There are books, furniture, bedding, safety equipment, feeding help, and potty training items! Basically anything you could want or need, they’ve got. All in one convenient site.
