Who doesn’t love being pregnant? Erm… me? I know it’s a difficult thing to admit, but the truth is that while I longed for YEARS to be pregnant, the after first time around, I knew that I’d rather give birth every day than have to be pregnant for 40 weeks. It sounds extreme, I’m sure, but I guess if you had had my rocky pregnancy and super easy birth, you might feel the same way.
So this time around, even though I am so happy to be pregnant and will (in fact, MUST) endure anything and everything to bring this baby safe into the world, I will be frank and tell you straight up – pregnancy ain’t for me.
In fact, this time around is even worse than the first! I really never expected this horrible nausea to hit. My mother didn’t have any morning sickness in any of her FIVE pregnancies. I didn’t have it in my first. I have never had a reaction to birth control. There’s no reason at all (among the many I’ve researched in the last few weeks!) why I should be suffering this intense hyperemesis. Unless, of course, I am pregnant with twins. Ha ha.
(I say that a lot because if you say it out loud it almost never comes true!)
Anyway, with the continued sickness and the first trimester exhaustion, which is quadrupled due to having an active toddler to oversee, I haven’t really felt much like updating this blog in the last couple of weeks.
I mean, I’ve got about a billion photos to share, and we’ve had a lot of family fun lately. From pool parties to BBQs to Downtown Disney to the new Mommy and Me group I’ve joined… We have been having adventures. But my head is not in the right place to actually write about them.
And it is a damn shame!
BUT – I have gone ahead and done a revamp of my blog (again!) and am hopeful that it will be a nice change and get me motivated again. Here is hoping!
How do YOU get over writers block or re-energized when you lose your blogging mojo?

Me too on both counts. Really didn’t enjoy being pregnant and sometimes struggle with the blogging. I do find it easier after having time off. Sort of regrouping my head? Love hearing about life over there tho, so please keep writing!!

Aw, thanks hon. I am hoping that now that I’ve had a little break and am coming toward the end of the first trimester, I might actually be able to keep up a little better. Including reading my favorite blogs more! :)

Hope all does go well for you. What always helped me through bad times was that in the long run it isn’t for a very long time. As for blogging, you have to do what you can manage. There is no point in putting more pressure on yourself!

Thank you. I know that after my first pregnancy, despite hating it the whole time, I did think it went quickly, and until I got pregnant again, I really couldn’t remember it being too bad or lasting too long. Now it feels interminable! :)
But you’re right. Must keep the pressure off for the good of me and my sprog. :)

Loving the revamp of the layout, it looks fantastic!
Sorry to hear your pregnancy is a rocky one. I’m sure it’ll all be worth it when you’re holding your little one in your arms for the first time though :)

Thank you hon. :) I think anything would be worth it when you get something so wonderful at the end. I just wish it was easier to deal with the physical, mental and emotional turmoil you go through in the early stages! ;)

I’m right there with you, friend. I lose it during my first trimester… I can usually barely function! I would say just rest and don’t feel the need to stay on top of it!
I’m hosting a blog hop today called the Mommy-Brain Mixer and I’d love for you to come link up this post! It would be so fun to have you! http://www.two-in-diapers.blogspot.com/2012/07/introducing-thursday-mommy-brain-mixer.html
